Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs in Medium Glow

Hurrraaayy! Another tanning product!

As I said in another post, I love to look tanned. I have pale Irish/Russian NC 25 skin tone, and I am constantly on a pursuit to look beautifully bronzed in the summer. During the winter I don’t mind looking like someone from the cast of Twilight, but during the summer I don’t want to put my pale, see-through legs on display for the world to see. I have a few girl friends that have lighter skin then mine and they embrace it and rock it all year long. I am very jealous of them and wish I could embrace my “vampireness,” but for me I enjoy having a little colour. So this brings me to Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs. I have yet to find a self tanner that has really given me the results I want, so I use this! This product is a spray-on leg makeup that is water and transfer resistant. This comes in handy on those really hot, sweaty nights. The other cool thing about this stuff is that it helps to cover freckles, veins and other blemishes that we like to try and hide. Unlike gradual self tanners the colour will wash off as soon as you get into the shower and scrub your legs. If you take a dip in the pool or sweat a little bit, you should be fine. There is no weird smell and it’s really simple to use. Shake the can well, spray into your hand and then apply the colour onto your legs. Must sure to BLEND BLEND BLEND! You don’t want to walk around with streaky legs or really brown knees. All in all, if you are in the market for a quick tan that's easy to apply and can wash off at the end of the night this is for you!

Happy Bronzing,

NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in "Beige"

I am really excited today because I am going to be talking about one of my favorite beauty products of all time! I personally am not a huge lipstick girl, so I tend to lean towards lip-glosses. Especially for day, I like to use lip-gloss because I think it’s more soft, subtle and appropriate for work or even the gym.

On to the good stuff!!!!
NYX Mega Shine Lip Gloss in “Beige” is probably my favorite lip gloss of all time. This is the lip product that I will always have with me in my purse no matter what. I think Toni Ko (NYX’s creator) understood the need for really great beauty products that don’t cost an arm and a leg. That being said, NYX’s “Beige” is the ideal pink in my opinion. It’s like my natural lip color but better if that makes any sense? The only way I can describe this color is like a pinky-beige that is super shiny and glossy. The best thing about this lip gloss is that it’s not super sticky and gross like some lip glosses can be. There is nothing more annoying then the wind blowing your hair into your lip gloss and it sticking there. This product does have a smell to it. It smells like cherries! Some like it and some don’t. It’s all up to your personal preference.

So, If you are in the market for a nice go to pink lip gloss then please run to your nearest drugstore and buy this!

Lot's of pink glossy smooches,

Jergens Natural Glow

I was born almost 24 years ago to an Irish father and a Russian mother, so needless to say I don't tan very well. When I go to the beach and lay out on the sand, I will go from off white directly to lobster red. I used to use tanning beds, but some of my birthmarks ended up changing form which scared me. Luckily for me they were not cancerous. Ever since my traumatic tanning bed experience I have been trying to find good tanning lotions. For the past 2 months I have been using Jergens gradual self-tanning lotion in medium to tan skin tones. I personally never purchase self tanners in light skin tones because I am trying to get about 3 to 5 shades darker then my natural skin tone.

The bottle says to use this product everyday as your daily body lotion and that after a few days you should see a difference in skin tone. It claims that after one week of use your skin tone should look tan.

I started off with my natural skin tone (for reference is MAC NC25) and used the product as directed. I used it everyday as my body moisturizer for 2 months. During that duration of time I did notice a  bit of a difference in my skin tone but not as much as I was wanting. My skin only got as dark as NC 30 or 35. I was wanting to get my skin tone to about NC 40 or 42.

Over all, if you are wanting a less dramatic change in skin tone then this would be perfect! This product is extremely easy to use and it actually doesn't have that weird self-tanner smell.  However, if you are like me and want to turn your pale twilight skin into a deep, dark vacation tan then I would pass.

Happy tanning,
